The International Affairs Review

The International Affairs Review (IAR) is a graduate student-run publication of The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs in Washington, D.C. By publishing high-level work by current graduate students and recent graduates of graduate school, IAR provides a unique forum for the policy perspectives of tomorrow’s leaders on today’s critical issues. The publication is split into two separate units: the print edition, which biannually publishes a peer-reviewed academic journal for graduate students, and the web edition, which continuously publishes on IAR’s website.

The web edition regularly publishes new articles on international relations on the publication’s website, iar-gwu.org. Publications vary in length from 750 to 1100 words and include analyses of contemporary international events, op-eds, book reviews, and research articles, among others. All pieces include at least one policy recommendation for at least one policy actor.
